| I'm having some hard starting issues with my 91 NA 300zx. I'm not super clear on how the fuel system set up on these cars is rigged, so I thought I would ask the experts here. I hooked up an inline fuel pressure gauge after the fuel pump, while the car was running it looked ok, it was a little over 40psi until the idle stabilized and then it was 36 or 37psi at idle. This seems pretty consistent with what I understand is the operating pressures of the rail. The question I had was that as soon as I turned the car off the pressure gauge instantly dropped to 0psi. On these cars if I have the gauge hooked up immediately after the fuel pump, between it and the fuel rail should I be seeing a 0psi state when the car is not running? It would certainly explain my hard start if the entire system was at 0psi every time I wanted to start it.
